A major music figure in the Twin Cities for the past 20 years, Maria Jette may best be known for her frequent appearances on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion radio show. Her musical accomplishments are remarkable for their breadth and depth: contemporary music (no problem), Baroque opera (a snap), standard oratorio solo works (an oddity, I think), and jingles (unexpected until you think about it).
