Maria Del Sol (born Marisol de Las Mercedes Echánove Rojas on October 24, 1961) is a Mexican singer who recorded pop music from 1980-1991. Despite recording many albums, Maria Del Sol never achieved total popularity and only one smash song with "Un Nuevo Amor" in 1986. After a tumultous personal life, she decided to retire in 1991 to focus on her life after spending almost all her youth recording a total of 9 albums and constant touring.
