Fronted by Liz (Pickard) Solo, Lizband was one of the forerunners in St. John's, Newfoundland's punk rock scene. Currently made up of Liz, Mike Kean on bass, Michael Levandier on guitars, and Brian Downton on drums, the band has been playing since 1993. Liz has been called the "matriarch of Newfoundland rock" and the band has been touted as "the vanguard of East Coast Indie Rock." Albums include "Six Songs" (1994); "i've been here before" (1998); "Devotion" (2002); and the self-titled "Lizband" (2005).
