Lights and Sounds began with Maxwell Britton recording A Million Lights for fun in 2006 with the help of future band members Jack Merriman (drums) and Alex (keys). When A Million Lights became popular he recorded another track called Look What You've Become. This being even more popular than the first track, Max decided to make a go of turning this project into a band. Jack and Alex became permanent members and James Hatcher (guitar) and George Sparks (bass) joined the line-up.
