Lärm were a Dutch hardcore punk band formed in 1981, formed under the name "Total Chaoz". Lärm pioneered what would later be called power violence, along with bands Heresy and Siege. They referred the their music as "Extreme Noise", though having really nothing to do with actual noise rock/noise music.
