Isa a.k.a. Kuwait was born and rasied by his grandmother in Houston, TX in the notorious neighborhood of South Acres. Kuwait's talents were discovered in his home among his relatives, when he was about six. He would mock preachers and sing songs he heard on the radio. He is the nephew of a black legendary country singer, Dobie Gray, famous for his 70's hit "Drift Away". That sums up how music got in his blood. In elementary school, Kuwait hosted morning announcements and received certificates for music and talent shows.
