Breaking out of a small town more than two hours west of Chicago, Kirkland knows how formidable it is to make a name in a scene as an outsider. For the last three years, Kirkland has stared down the challenge and miles of Midwest highway; logging over 150 shows a year in support of their 2007 self-funded, self-titled EP and 2009’s “When You Got It, You Got It.
