Formed in 1987, Kingofthehill paid dues as a top 40 cover band called Broken Toyz in their native St. Louis before breaking out of the metro-mold with their original compositions and rock-funk grooves. The decision to stick to their own paid off with sold-out clubs and thier first album, KINGOFTHEHILL (1990 SBK Records)
