Modern Fables is drenched with soft vocals and beautiful lyrics. She is known for her bitter-sweet folk style lyrics. Modern Fables was warmly received in New Zealand on 2011. Julia Deans was the singer/guitarist for Wellington-via-Melbourne band Fur Patrol for 14 years. She has not broken up with the band in order to perceive her solo career.
