Portland based singer/songwriter, Jon Simons has been touring and releasing albums since 1998. His songwriting is slow, poetic, and heartfelt. In the studio, his minimalist foundations are usually complimented with lush orchestrations, including performances by musicians from both the rock and classical worlds. His solo performances however, remain mellow and sparse. Compared to the likes of Nick Drake, Syd Barrett, and Pink Floyd, his records have pulled together a niche following in the US and UK.
