Jo Mama Concert History

Jo Mama was an American band that was part of the Laurel Canyon community around 1970, with their trademark West Coast blend of blues, country and folk rock. Probably best known as the backing band for Carole King and James Taylor in the 1970s, they also released two studio albums of their own on Atlantic Records: Jo Mama (1970) and J Is For Jump (1971). Personnel: Abigale Haness (vocals), Danny Kortchmar (guitar, conga, vocals), Charles Larkey (bass), Joel O'Brien (drums, vibraphone) and Ralph Schuckett (keyboards, vocals).
