Jess Ribeiro formed the Bone Collectors with guitarist Rob Law in Darwin, NT, in 2008. After the release of 2009's Pilgrimage EP, the acclaimed debut album My Little River was self-released in May 2012. In October 2012 it scooped the 'Best Independent Country Album' prize at the 2012 Australian Independent Recording Label (AIR) Awards. Early in December 2012, it scored the Album of the Year prize on Australia's ABC Radio National, while January 2013 saw it short-listed for the prestigious Australian Music Prize (AMP).
