Jared Bartman was born in Princeton, Illinois in June of 1988. He began playing piano at age seven, but eventually lost interest when he started guitar lessons at age nine, eager to learn Beatles songs. He joined his first band at age thirteen. After a lengthy period of only playing covers, that band eventually graduated into writing their own material. They recorded a full-length album of original music during winter and spring of 2004, but broke up soon after.
