Jakuta & Carl were founded at WMUC Radio at the University of Maryland when a young boy named Jakuta met his perfect musical counterpoint a young mac named Carl. They went on to develop a unique style of what was termed laptop spazpop. In 2004 they released a 7" on their label Little Joe Peep Records. A proper full length called 'i' soon followed, along with a few instrumental CDRs. They have been located in Washington, DC and Austin, TX and currently reside in Baltimore.
