Officially formed back in 2001 by the early name Jakarta Flame (without the 'S' in the back) with melodic punk concept. The band had been through several times of personnel changes , and in 2004 they decided to change the name of the band to Jakarta Flames (now with 'S' ) and carrying the cross genre of screamo with the current line-up of: Reza (vocals), Niki (guitar-vocals), Adith (guitar-vocals), Aji (bass), and Ryan (drums). in the same year they joined a compilation album entitled “The Difference Compilation Vol.
