Amsterdam-based band Jagd was founded by guitarist Jos Neering and drummer Timo Mes, who had been friends for years, but strikingly never played music together before. In 2014 the two joined forces with bassplayer Luuk Meijer, with whom Jos had been playing with in another band for several years. There, they had already begun to develop their typical sound based on heavy, but playful basslines and sharp and energetic guitars. As of august 2014 singer Nanne van der Linden completed the band, that soon adopted the name Jagd.
