This scene has brought together many intriguing combinations, perhaps none more innovative than electronic composer and drummer Alex O'Nan and former hardcore guitarist Kyle Noltemeyer. Together as Interstates, they weave richly textured, progressive ambient music and colorful programing with live instrumentation. For their live performances O'Nan has synchronized with each song a series of short films that feature scenes from his journeys as a railroad conductor.
