Innocent Uprising is the musical brain child of Sean Nicholas and Travis McVey, that first came to surface in September of 2007. The love of reggae hip/hop, and acoustically driven music gave birth to the new project. The first album titled Hit the Ground Runnin was recorded at Beat Box Studio in Pawtucket RI. Rubbing shoulders with RI’s own Chachi Carvalho, being produced by Rhode Island’s finest hip hop producers Vertygo and JDepina, gave an exponential amount of creativity to the album during the weeks at the studio.
