Hot Mute is from California.Their new album is sorta like listening to an FM RAWK station in the late 70's when Cheap Trick and the Cars,etc,ruled the charts-but it doesn't feel like a bite-their melodies are totally original and hum-along-able.HM are poppy but the lyrics are DARK and HUMOROUS. You can't get much more Goth than "Everybody Dies". The chorus to their cop drama "Back on the Force" is soaring and inspirational while they sing "It's all bullshit,and we know it!" ...
