Harmful if Swallowed was formed in early 1991 as a three piece punk band consisting of Greg Martin, josh Loren and Carlos Nieto III. In 1992, they hooked up with well known punk rocker Brandon Cruz (Dr. Know, Dead Kennedys). Brandon was Harmful's frontman for three years. Together, they toured most of the west coast, plying with such bands as: Bad Religion, Green Day, Weezer and Face to Face. The band parted ways with Brandon in 1995 and has since remained a three piece.
