GrandFather’s House surge em 2012 como uma one-man band de Tiago Sampaio. Em 2013, Rita Sampaio (sua irmã) junta-se como cantora e mais tarde assume também os teclados. Depois da edição de "Skeleton" João Costeira entra para a bateria formando o actual trio.
