Spencer Shoop was touring the world with one of his many ultra-successful bands (Her Name Here, Caution, White Savages). He was on his last gig in Canada before heading out to the European leg of the tour when he stumbled upon a homeless drummer with an outrageous beard. The drummer had a broken drum stick and seemed like a good guy, so they started a band.
