There are more than one bands/artists with the name Golden Buddha. One of them is a jazz band formed by Chinese jazz pianist Kong Hongwei (孔宏伟). He is himself nicknamed Golden Buddha (金佛, Jin Fo). "Golden Buddha and His Friends" (金佛和他的朋友们) released an album titled Summer Palace (夏日皇宫) in 2003. It was the first Chinese record combining modern Jazz with Chinese folk elements. In 2010 the album Golden Buddha Jazz Quartet (金佛爵士四重奏) was released.
