Gilbert Gottfried (February 28, 1955 – April 12, 2022) was an American stand-up comedian and actor whose trademark was a distinctively loud, obnoxious, rasping, grating voice. He has played numerous roles in film and television, perhaps most notably voicing the parrot Iago in Disney's Aladdin (1992).
