Gary Rossington Concert History

Gary Rossington (December 4, 1951 – March 5, 2023) was one of the founding members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, for which he played rhythm and lead guitar. In 1977, he survived a plane crash that took the lives of three of his bandmates and led to the breakup of the band. Two years later, he formed the Rossington Collins Band with Allen Collins, also a former member of Lynyrd Skynyrd. It disbanded in 1982 after the death of Allen's wife. Rossington went on to form The Rossington Band with his wife, Dale Krantz-Rossington. The group released two albums between 1986 and 1988 followed by a third in 2016 after a long hiatus. In 1987, Rossington rejoined Lynyrd Skynyrd when the band reunited with a new lineup. He continued performing with the band until his death on March 5, 2023. When he passed, he was the last original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
