Garfunkel and Oates are a comedy-folk duo from Los Angeles, California, consisting of actress-songwriters Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome. The two met at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre in Los Angeles. The band was formed when they started working together to turn a short film made by Lindhome, entitled "Imaginary Larry", into a musical.
