Semua personil Funkoff bertemu di kampus tercinta Conservatory of Music Pelita Harapan. Awalnya ide iseng Christian (drums) membentuk grup untuk perform di Benton Jazz Night, namun semaraknya animo penonton membuat Funkoff mulai serius untuk berkarir di belantika musik Indonesia.
