Starting back in 2000, Free Grass Union has spread it's genre defying music across the north east, sharing the bill with such acts as David Grisman, Donna Jean & The Tricksters, Max Creek, Ricky Scaggs & Kentuckky Thunger, Juggling Suns, Tony Vacca, Ed Mann, Dub Side of the Moon and so many more. Although the instrumentation of the band (mandolin/guitar/upright bass) seems primative, the trio bring american roots music past the present and into the future.
