After recording demos in a friend's home studio, the band built a following by opening for nationally known acts like Hidden in Plain View (Drive-Thru), Bayside (Victory), Limbeck (Doghouse), as well as many respected local artists. Foster recorded their debut EP with Matt Squire, and released it independently in the spring of 2004.
