Marcus Nepomuc Deml was born in Prague on August 9. 1967. His family emigrated from the Czech Republic to Salzburg/Austria in 1968, but moved to West Germany a year later. The Deml family lived in many german citys before finally settling in Frankfurt in 1977. Around that time Marcus started to show major interest in all kinds of music and fell in love with the sound of the electric guitar after hearing Jimi Hendrix with the “Band of Gypsies” and Deep Purple’s “Made in Japan”.
