Formed in 1999, El Jefe is composed of Peter Lazarus (bass), Fernando Cardoso (drums), Ken Bryant (guitar), with MCs Darren Reid a.k.a "Daryl" (trumpet), MC Carlos Julio Gonzalez a.k.a "Nomad" and Eric Wecker a.k.a "The Wiz." They really push the hip-hop formula into something other, adding their unique fusion of rock and dub elements, sounding a bit like Sublime or Living Legends.
