Drive By Star was originally the brain child of Rafe Pearlman and Jonathan Plum who got together with the intent of doing a one time studio project combining their love for the soaring sounds Coldplay meets old Radiohead meets Morrisey meets Jeff Buckley meets Jane's Addiction meets Dead Can Dance. Rafe pushed boundaries combining his strong rock tenor with his training in the mellismatic middle-eastern singing styles associated with orthodox Judaism.
