Born in Havana, Cuba, DONATO POVEDA LOPEZ started his professional singer-songwriter career at age 18 as part of the Island’s musical scene. He created music for Theater and Television specially “La Botija” for which he earned the (Best Music) award from the International Film Festival of Havana in 1989. He became well-known in Cuba with the songs, “Madre Por Qué?”, “Alex”, “Historia De Un Amor”, “Cambiando El Tema”, “El Eslabón Perdido”, and “Alguien Llama”.
