Dewpoint is a Christian Progressive Death Metal band formed in 1997 in Deming, New Mexico by John Jones III. Being a Christian and a big fan of Progressive and Death Metal bands like Paradise Lost, Opeth, Dream Theater, Carcass and My Dying Bride and seeing the utter lack of Christian based bands in the genres decided that it would be appropriate to get a group off the ground that is Aggressive and Experimental as well as Unique and Thought provoking.
