Derek DePrator Concert History
Derek Paul DePrator started playing guitar, drums, and keyboards in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 9 in 1989. Influenced by the many slide guitar artists of the day; Bonnie Raitt, George Thorogood, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmour, DePrator started using the family's chrome plated remote control to play lap-style slide guitar on his first Harmony acoustic. When his father asked him why the remote looked like it was beat up, Derek just explained he was playing guitar with it. So they went out and got him his first bottleneck slide.
