Decrepit Monolith was founded in 2012 by Baal after some years away from the live music scene, in order to bring about a new black metal act with influences from Gorgoroth, Marduk, Behemoth, early Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth he recruited former band mate Thave on drums. Long term friend Erebus joined on bass having the same passion and drive to create a dark and brutal live band.
