In recent years, bands have been taking things into their own hands more so than ever in getting the word out about their music. Internet activities, particularly MySpace and Pure Volume, aiding greatly in their works to assist bands from around the globe to find and develop a nurturing audience. In the case of Tuscaloosa, Alabama-based Dead Man In Reno, their unstoppable quest to reach their now sizeable fanbase (over 40,000 to their active MySpace page) is what struck the attention of AbstractSounds, imprint for Candlelight Records.
