The female duo De Alpenzusjes are from Limburg in the Netherlands. Because of Limburg's proximity to Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, the music has a German Schlager resonance to it. De Alpenzusjes sing songs in that style, part original and part covers from German Schlagers or German Volksmusik.
