Austin, Texas' Concrete Elite was formed in late 2011 under the name Concrete. The "Elite" was added later after receiving a notice from another band's lawyer. The original line-up consisted of vocalist Manny Tapia, lead guitarist Kevin Alexander, drummer Ram Puga, bassist Jay Hinojosa and rhythm guitarist Sam Ghanbar.
