Birthed in 2000, Clemmer was the project of brothers Matt and Todd Clemmer, pursuing a love for music. After two years of various line-up changes, Clemmer added bass player Ryan Littman and Mark McFarland on drums to finally assemble the Clemmer line-up. After frequently performing at clubs all over the Dayton, OH area, including Canal Street Tavern, Oregon Express, and Gillys, Clemmer was declared winner of 2001 Dayton Band Playoffs. This opened doors for Clemmer to play Columbus venues such as Newport Music Hall and Brickyard.
