Civilized Tears was formed in 2007 and create a lush textured rock music, with lyrics like ' open-heart' surgery, melodic hooks and driving rhythms.Tim Bennett is the driving force behind the band. They released two albums on his own label. Civilized Tears has been raising funds with SellaBand towards the band's next album. On November, 2nd 2009 they finally reached their goal of $31,000.
