Charlie Slick, who dubs himself "The People's Synthesist", is an 80s-style electronic pop/rock musician from Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. He constructs his synthesizer music from scratch, and at shows (which involve bubbles, confetti, and dancing), he performs lead vocals and keyboards, with a sound/light technician by his side. He is influenced by the works of Run-D.M.C. and David Bowie.
