Charlie Boy started playing music at the age of when he joined the concert band and played the saxophone. When he entered high school, he joined the jazz band. He also became interested in rap music in high school. Charlie Boy began using the music skills that he learned from playining in the school band to create hooks for his rap music. Soon he was in the studio recording. He wrote and performed the theme song for the biggest porn movie of 2006 entitled 'manhunters' under the name Charlie Check'm.
