Dual frontmen Jeremy Grondahl and Nick Martinez began writing music together in April 2010 for the band which would later adopt the name Caydence. The band's self-titled EP was recorded at Grondahl's home studio in Nashville, TN and released in the summer of 2010. Caydence became complete in early 2011 with the addition of bassist Tj Carlson.
