The Candy Harlots were an Australian glam metal band from Sydney, active from 1987 to 1995. The band was infamous for its suggestive lyrics, explosive stage act and at one time were dubbed 'Sydney's biggest live secret!'.[citation needed] Their musical style is commonly described as "sleaze rock".
