Calum Gourlay Concert History

Born in Glasgow in 1986 and then moving to Fife as a teenager, Calum began his musical career on the cello then also took up both electric and acoustic bass. Inspired by the bourgeoning Scottish jazz scene, Calum played in many youth jazz bands including, the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra, the National Youth jazz Orchestra of Scotland and the Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra. Calum also played a lot of traditional Scottish music and classical music before deciding to focus on jazz.
