Starting in 2007 and adopting a post-hardcore sound, Brighter Than A Thousand Suns had already graced the pages of Alternative Press and taken national tours before catching the attention of Tragic Hero Records, a partnership which yielded the band’s 2011 full-length entitled "Survival Machines”. After leaving Tragic Hero Records, the band gradually shifted away from their straight-up post-hardcore beginnings to incorporate more of an 80’s synth rock sound to accompany their darker aggressive side.
