Boston Blackthorne plays driving Celtic and Irish influenced original music with 4 part harmonies and authentic Irish instruments such as mandolin, fiddle, bodhran, bouzouki and bass and guitar. The band won the Springfield (MA) Newspapers Livewire Award in 2006 for best local album. Their album Better Late than Ever includes the song Back When the Craic was Grand which won the 2006 International Narritive Songwriting Award.
