The Bob Weir Band was formed in 1978. The line-up was Bob Weir, Bobby Cochran, Brent Mydland, John Maucer1 and Rich Carlos. Dee Murray replaced Carlos on bass at some point during 1978. This band evolved into Bobby and The Midnites.
