Formatia Blazzaj s-a constituit in 1998, in Timișoara, Romania. Numele lor provine din combinatia cuvintelor 'blazare' si 'jazz', folosit insa invers, adica 'zzaj'. Si, inca ceva legat de numele formatiei: acesta, citit de la coada la cap, nu e altceva decit 'jazzalb'.
